About 30 volunteers from Minot Wreaths Across America set up 634 crosses in Minot’s Rosehill Memorial Park on Saturday in preparation for this year’s December 18th event.

Volunteers included students from the Minot High School Central Campus and Magic City Campus, the Ward County Sheriff’s Office, veterans, and others in the community.

“Last year we placed 40 flower stands for those who wanted to place their personal wreath in section 16 of their loved ones and due to the great response we were able to place a total of 74 additional crosses for those who would like to take part so that we can do so again this year” , said Richard Reuer, event coordinator for Minot Wreaths Across America.

“This year, instead of dog tags, we’ve put your loved one’s name, rank, branch, and wartime on a wreath tag so they know where to place their loved one’s wreath. They are arranged alphabetically. At the moment around 11 crosses have been reserved by last year’s participants. “ said Reuer.

He said that those who attended last year and want to return this year and have received their application in the mail must return it asap with their donation of $ 15 per wreath.
