0

United Way of Santa Barbara County (UWSBC) is calling on volunteers for its Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) 2022 program. The VITA program is a free tax preparation service for Santa Barbara County residents earning $ 67,000 or less per year.

Each year, tax returns are prepared and electronically filed by IRS-certified volunteers for qualified individuals or families. Current volunteer services include tax preparers, examiners, and greeters for UWSBC’s tax preparation locations. Own-paced training for IRS certification is available online and in-person training is tentatively scheduled for January.
