Food insecurity is defined as the disruption of food intake or eating habits due to a lack of resources, financial or otherwise. the USDA defines food insecurity such as a lack of constant access to enough food to lead an active and healthy life. Food insecurity can lead to poor performance at work and/or school as well as other lasting effects.
