Everyone Wants Bitcoin: Stripchat Reveals Crypto Payments On Its Platform Up 400% Over The Last Year

Are we finally about to introduce the cryptocurrency? Many crypto enthusiasts ask themselves this question. With hefty purchases from institutional players like MicroStrategy and Tesla (NASDAQ :), the signs are clear that everyone wants to participate.

According to Stripchat, an adult social streaming and entertainment platform, cryptocurrency is fast becoming the most popular payment option for users and performers on their platform. The live streaming webcam platform announced that cryptocurrency transactions were up 400%.

Commenting on the development, Max Bennet, VP of New Media at the company, said:

Both users and models are more actively using crypto as their preferred payment methods. We’ve seen a 400% increase in the number of cryptocurrency transactions since early 2020, and 10% of all active models on Stripchat use crypto as the primary withdrawal method.

In the meantime, the platform has jumped on the Doge bandwagon and, thanks to Elon Musk, now supports the meme-based cryptocurrency. Bennet noted:

If adding DOGE can improve Elon Musk and others’ experience on stripchat we are here to accept.

Pornhub is another adult entertainment website that has joined the Dogecoin craze. They recently announced support for Doge and three more new cryptocurrencies.
