It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there’s a charity fashion event happening tomorrow in Tampa Bay. The “Pretties in Pink” charity fashion event helps support breast cancer awareness, while encouraging women to embrace beauty of all kinds.

Student at The Art Institute of Tampa, Mia Williams, joins Gaelle Guyardo, the host of the national health and wellness show, Bloom, to learn more about the event. Plus, Lisa Assetta, cancer life organizing consultant and three-time cancer survivor, joins us to share more about her personal story.

Sales promotion students from The Art Institute of Tampa manage this event and have chosen the My Intimate Apparel (MIA) brand to promote it. The models taking the stage at this event will be breast cancer survivors and survivors, who will share their personal stories and experiences.

You can buy tickets here, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the local chapter of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, a network of the American Cancer Society. The event takes place October 7 at 6:00 p.m. at 4401 North Himes Avenue Suite 150, Tampa, FL 33614.

You can watch Bloom in the Tampa Bay Market weekdays at 2 p.m. on WFLA News Channel 8.

Bloom also airs in 40 markets nationwide, with a reach of approximately 36 million households, as well as Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Madison, WI.
