As families and individuals in our community face financial pressure from inflation and continue to experience food insecurity related to the COVID-9 pandemic, Osceola County, with the help of local organizations non-profit and committed volunteer, continues to work to organize free food distribution events to help those in need.

On Saturday, Osceola County and Osceola County Council Chairman of County Commissioners District 3 Brandon Arrington hosted a free summer drive-thru food giveaway, supported by the 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and State Representative Kristen Arrington.

The event was held at St. Rose of Lima Church, located at 3880 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee and distributed box lunches to more than 600 families and individuals in the Poinciana area of ​​Osceola County. .

State Rep. Kristen Arrington worked alongside volunteers from the Rotary Club of West Kissimmee and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office to manage the event and ensure those in attendance were safe throughout. along the distribution of food.
