Welcome to midnight mania!
2021 has revealed several unexpected storylines in the martial arts world, but perhaps the most surprising is the return of Nick Diaz. The older Diaz brother has been sitting on the sidelines since 2015 and is largely considered retired. While the rumors of a return came from time to time, it was still a significant shock when Diaz was officially announced that he would face Robbie Lawler in September!
Before his second encounter with “Ruthless”, however, Diaz has to make a public appearance. This Saturday night (July 31, 2021) at 11 p.m. EST, Diaz will be working with the adult website Stripchat to host a martial arts seminar. Specifically, the self-defense seminar is for the camgirls, but anyone over 18 can watch.
“I’m going to teach these camgirls vital self-defense lessons and other shit so they can protect themselves if they are ever approached by unwanted creepy men,” Diaz said in a press release (via Drake Riggs). “After we are done with this training, I would advise against trying anything stupid with these models.”
Oddly enough, surprisingly often, camgirls and their associated platforms intersect with MMA. Cam Soda is the prime example of organizing the legendary and insane Fight Circus events and bidding on Mike Perry’s corner slot.
I have to tie this male age group between 18 and 34 somehow!
BKFC is particularly violent in slow motion:
Dan Hardy vs. John Wayne Parr in a caged muay thai match sure sounds like a fun watch!
Dan Hardy is one of the good guys in the sport and is looking for a dance partner for a caged muay thai match.
Since we’re both older, it makes perfect sense that I welcomed him to the CMT style match.
If mr @yodchatri agrees to do it @ONEChampionship I will definitely be there. https://t.co/mcMK8iUGdG

I don’t know what grappling art we’re looking at, but a big slam is a big slam!
Some big news from the jiu-jitsu world: The Danaher Death Squad has been the most dominant no-gi grappling team in recent years, but they are no more.
If Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington 2 is booked, will Leon Edwards vs. Gilbert Burns lead the fight?
My favorite part of this clip is how terribly it lands the first front role.
Some killer photos from the main event on Saturday evening between Cory Sandhagen and TJ Dillashaw:
Slips, tears and knockout clips
Sometimes a quick, direct slap on the temple is enough.
This guy waited far too long to tackle the stranglehold and fell asleep.
This Popeye fight is tough.
Midnight Music: I’ve spent some time looking at the work of Southern soul singer OV Wright, whose music has been sampled quite extensively by the Wu Tang clan.
Sleep well maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
