LP Building Solutions (LP), a leading manufacturer of high performance building products, is proud to announce that the company has donated over $ 550,000 in 2021 through its LP Foundation and d ‘other corporate giving initiatives.

Locally this year, the LP Foundation and LP Carthage awarded $ 5,000 to Mission Carthage and $ 5,000 to Excellent TEEN Choice.

The LP Foundation, a 501 © (3) nonprofit, offers five philanthropic programs: Grants & Sponsorships, Disaster Relief, Community Grants, Nonprofit Employee Sponsorships, and Employee Giving Program.

The LP Foundation’s philanthropic focus aligns closely with LP’s vision, values and purpose of building a better world. Donations are intended for non-profit organizations and public schools in the following categories: housing; environment; kindergarten to grade 12 public education; and diversity, equity and inclusion.

“We remain true to LP’s goal of building a better world by enriching our community through thoughtful giving and volunteering,” said Breeanna Straessle, President of The LP Foundation. “2021 has been an exceptional year for the LP Foundation in terms of donations and impact. In addition to donating over half a million dollars, LP employees also donated their time to dozens of local causes, such as building homes with Habitat for Humanity, teaching forestry sustainability to high school students and the collection of school supplies for teachers.

In 2021, the LP Foundation had a record year of giving thanks to its Community Mill Grants program, giving more than ever to the communities in which it operates. Organizations and schools were identified by employees at LP’s factories in the United States and Canada based on community needs. The foundation also continued its tradition of contributing to nonprofit organizations in Nashville, Tennessee, where the company’s headquarters are located. Among those hometown grants was a donation of $ 50,000 to the Adventure Science Center, a nonprofit science museum for children. The donation contributed to the development of an urban arboretum in the heart of Music City, a particularly appropriate project given LP’s long history of sustainable forest management.

As a construction solutions company, LP is deeply committed to the reconstruction of areas severely affected by natural disasters where LP has a significant local presence of employees and businesses. In 2021, LP and the LP Foundation provided financial support for disaster relief and humanitarian aid following two devastating floods in Nashville, Tennessee and surrounding communities; the 2020 Christmas Day bombing in historic downtown Nashville; and after a tornado swept through Clarke County, Alabama, near an LP OSB installation.

In addition to LP’s long tradition of community support, many of the company’s employees are active members of their local communities, often volunteering their time and resources to meet the needs of their communities. The foundation has continued to support this work over the past year through its nonprofit employee sponsorship and employee donation matching programs. Since 2013, LP employees have personally donated over $ 370,000 to charities and educational institutions across North America, for which the LP Foundation has provided matching donations totaling nearly 800,000. $.
