Edwards is weltered back to the octagon by his well-formed welterweight colleague Belal Muhammad, a short-term replacement for the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.

And the 29-year-old will enter the fight in the form of his career.

Late last week, Rocky shared a post-workout snapshot of himself and his trainer Henry Cleminson on Instagram.

The picture showed a topless Edwards with bodybuilder-like definition in his core and quads.

The fight fans were stunned by his physique and flocked to Twitter to participate in his dice frame.

One tweeted, “He looks like a bodybuilder, dammit.”

Another said: “Leon looks scary. I could already see the power.”

Another said, “I think it goes through Bella like a freight train.”

After seeing Edwards’ trim frame, a fan predicted the Briton will claim the welterweight throne this year.

They wrote, “Yikes, the dedication to getting to this kind of form as a fighter is unimaginable to me.

“Other races and I think he’ll be the next champion if they give him his chance.”

Edwards’ encounter with Muhammad will be his first octagon excursion in over 19 months.

And the Brummie plans to make a statement in the must-win fight on Sunday morning.

He told The Schmo: “We’re both 18 and 3, but we’ve been on two different paths.

“I’m going to prove we’re two different people on Saturday night and I can’t wait to prove it to the world.”

He added, “I’m going in there to put him away and hurt him. I’m looking forward to it.”
