The Nirmayan Charity Pro-Am tournament played its fourth edition on April 2 at Poona Golf Club to help raise funds for NGOs such as the Indian Cancer Society, Mudita Foundation and Yes! We can. The event, titled sponsored by Bridgestone India, saw the participation of top golfers such as Shiv Kapur, Shubhankar Sharma, SSP Chawrasia, Chikkarangappa, Rahil Gangjee, Rashid Khan, Khalin Joshi and Olympian Udayan Mane.

The tournament was played using a modified Texas Scramble format, which involved 1 Pro and 3 Amateurs. The amateur team of Pro Veer Ahlawat, Jay Shirke, Padmaja Shirke, Advait Gokhale, won the first prize, while the amateur team of Vikrant Chopra, Deepak Bhargava, Aditya Natekar and Avinash Deoskar, finished second. .

One of the highlights of the charity event was the auction of clothing and equipment used by Olympians PV Sindhu, Mary Kom, Udayan Mane, Anirban Lahiri and former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Padmaja Shirke – Longest 18 hole driver in the women’s category (230 yards)

Upesh/ Manu Gulati – Straightest drive at hole 14 (on the line)

Sunaina Gera – Straightest drive at hole 14 in the women’s category (4 feet)

Advait Gokhale – Closest to pin on hole 2 (3ft 7in)

Sudaay Chaloo – Closest to pin on hole 4 (9ft 5in)

Ashitosh Limaye – Closest to hole pin 13 (6ft)

Ashish Mohta – Closest to hole 16 (29ft 4in)
