These puppies are more than cute, they are mini-detectives who will be trained to detect serious illnesses.
The three girls and three boys, born at Christmas, are the first to be specially raised by the Medical Detection Dogs association.
Soon they will be expertly trained to spot the subtle scent of diseases such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease and malaria.
Little Labradors will also learn to work with people with Type 1 Diabetes, Postural Tachycardia Syndrome and severe allergies, alerting them when a medical emergency is about to occur.
MDD has trained dogs to detect the smell of Covid and they are now checking people.
Puppy Supply and Training Manager Chris Allen says: “Puppy supply has been difficult during the pandemic.
“Starting our own breeding program will allow us to complete our dog supply routes. The puppies are already absolutely gorgeous and real characters.
Chris adds: “We have a confident, a sensible and a cheeky one – like with all the siblings.”
