The Brentwood, Hutton & Billericay branch of Blood Cancer UK is calling for local volunteers to join their fundraising committee.

Blood Cancer UK funds research to help transform blood cancer treatment and save lives, while providing advice and support to those affected.

With over 40,000 people in the UK diagnosed with blood cancer each year, it is the third leading cause of cancer death in the UK, killing more people than breast or prostate cancer.

To help raise vital funds, the local branch is looking for fundraisers to help with street drives and charity events in Brentwood, Essex and surrounding areas.

The current group of volunteers have been fundraising for the blood cancer charity since 1965 and have raised over £1.2million since then, running several regular fundraising activities and taking part in many other events local.
