Go to a block party
A perfect way to beat the heat. Every weekend in June, enjoy live entertainment, food, drink, and family-friendly activities at the Summer Block Party at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska. Participation is free.
See live music
Carbon Leaf, a mix of rock, folk, Celtic and bluegrass music, will perform at the Sellersville Theater on Friday June 11th. The show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $ 33 to $ 45. Their performance will be followed by King’s X, a progressive metal and soul group, at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $ 39.50 to $ 55.
The Brooklyn Charmers, a Steely Dan cover band, will perform at the Pour House of the New Hope Winery, 6123 Lower York Rd, New Hope on Friday, June 11th at 8pm. Tickets are $ 35. Jared Mancuso and his classic rock-inspired band Not Fade Away will perform at 8 p.m. the following evening, Saturday June 12th. Tickets are $ 35.
Shady Brook Farm in Yardley is holding Summer Unwined Concerts on select Friday and Saturday evenings through September 4th. Screaming Broccoli will perform on Friday June 11th at 6:30 pm
Sip wine and listen to acoustic music by local artists Jim Nelsen, Erin McAndrew, Bunny Barnes and Words in Flight at Crossing Vineyards & Winery, 1853 Wrightstown Rd, Washington Crossing. Nelsen and McAndrew will perform from 2pm to 6pm, while Barnes and Words in Flight will perform in the same time slot on Sundays. No nominal fee.
Visit a farmers market
What could be nicer than spending a spring day at one of Bucks County’s farmers markets.
Doylestown Farmers Market is on Saturdays through November 8 am to 1 pm on South Hamilton Street between West Oakland Avenue and West State Street.
Wrightstown Farmers Market is held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Rd, Newtown
Help a local breast cancer charity
A backyard party with local music, food, drinks and giveaways in favor of the Corinne Sikora Wellness & Support Center will take place on Saturday, June 12th at 4:30 pm. The requested donation is $ 40. Tickets can be purchased online or at the event at 374 Maple Ave, Doylestown.
Watch Gay Chorus Deep South in Chapman Park Watch
Doylestown Pride Festival starts on Sunday and you can celebrate Pride Month by attending an outdoor movie screening of “Gay Chorus Deep South” in Chapman Park in Doylestown. The gates open at 7.30 p.m. on Sunday 13 June and the film starts at dusk. Tickets are $ 10 for the public, $ 8 for County Theater members, and $ 7 for children under 17.
